Christmas CraZy

Ok, so I have to admit, this time of year I tend to go a little "Christmas Crazy".
I absolutely love decorating for Christmas.
I have so many wonderful Christmas memories from over the years and seeing all of the festive decorations never fails to put a smile on my face.

Hopefully, some of these will put a smile on yours, too!
I hope you enjoy:

The Santa figures are from my childhood - They're REALLY old, like me (ha ha)!

My Nativity - "The HOLY Family"

This Santa holds candy - I remember one like this at my grandparent's house when I was little.  I'm not sure if this is the same one, or a copy that my mother made later.

My Kitchen even gets decorated!

And of course, we have to have lights outside, even if we are the only ones that get to see them since we live in the country and the house can't be seen from the road!!

We had an absolutely wonderful Christmas this year!  Hope you did too!!

New Blogger Alert

WOW!  Who would have ever thought that I would have my own blog?  Not ME, that's for sure!!

I have been a faithful follower of my daughter, Brianna's blog - Faithful Footprints, since she started blogging, but I sure never imagined that I would ever be a blogger.  So, how exactly did this happen??  I guess I must have been a little too amused that Brianna had talked her sister and my eldest daughter, Hilary, into starting her own blog, A Whole Lotta ME, and before I knew what was happening, the two of them had ganged up on me (yeah, like that's never happened before ... lol) and convinced me that I needed to join the blogging world with them!

They were both so excited, that they started taking pictures of all my Christmas decorations for me so that I'd have something to blog about ... so guess what my next blog post is going to be - that's right - I do go a little Christmas crazy so I might as well share!

The girls even got their father in on the blog excitement and got him to help come up with the blog name - Country Chick.  So thanks (I think) to my loving daughters, Hilary and Brianna, and my sweet wonderful husband, Gary, I am now officially a member of the blog community!
